They will provide tuition and housing for committing to their program. These are only given to a few students and are very difficult to obtain.

Any extra curricular activity will make a student more appealing. Art can also be a ticket to college for others. Liberal arts schools have programs for theater, art, and music. They always look for students who want to continue their craft and show passion. Rewards are given to musicians, actors, and artists.

Being active in your community will help gain attention. Students who want to help make a difference will get involved with many community groups who will reward them with grants and financial aid. Colleges always look for students that are active towards causes and helping others.

Scholarships can be very competitive, but finding ways distinguish your self is going to be key. Finding interests outside of school will attract you towards a like minded community who wishes to promote that type of ideal.
