Exercise is a dreaded activity for many kids and adults. They think it is hard work, painful and it makes you stink. And while many adults exercise by way of a gym, exercise for kids should be completely different. It should be fun and something kids want to do on a daily basis.
Exercise is a dreaded activity for many kids and adults. They think it is hard work, painful and it makes you stink. And while many adults exercise by way of a gym, exercise for kids should be completely different. It should be fun and something kids want to do on a daily basis. Kids think of exercise as fun and exciting. They don't call it exercising though. They usually say they're playing. They are having fun while staying fit and they don't even realize it. Adults can learn a thing or two from kids who love to exercise. Not all kids are this way, though. That's why there is a childhood obesity problem. Too many kids would prefer to sit on the couch and watch television than to get up and run around outside. They are not as nearly physically active as they should be. If you gave them a preference, they would choose playing a video game over playing catch outside. Parents and grandparents can encourage kids to exercise by showing them that it can be fun. Don't just tell them they need to get off the couch. You should have a plan. Come up with an exciting activity for the family and encourage your child to join the fun. There are many opportunities for fun kids' exercise, such as playing on a playground, hiking, playing catch, swimming or having a game of hide-and-seek. Kids tend to do as their parents do. So, the best way to get them to exercise is to exercise too. Participate in the activities with them instead of just telling them what to do. Exercising together as a family also promotes bonding time and memory making. Exercise doesn't have to be painful, for kids or adults. It can be a lot of fun and families should be active together so they can all be healthy. About the Author: Frank Cole Family Exercise Program Looking to actually improve your child's health?
