The kind of diaper you choose for your baby to wear is important. Most moms have a preference as to what brand they use. There are a number of brands out there, but probably dominate the industry. Moms choose the brands they trust for a number of different reasons: baby's type of skin, tradition, marketing, leakage protection, recommendations from family or friends, etc. Some babies have skin that reacts differently to the clothe or material of the diaper. There are non-chlorine diapers available for those mothers who prefer it. Sometimes if the baby already has a skin disorder they may have to use a particular type. In this case doctors will make a recommendation. There are those moms who just like to use the brand they used with their last child. It is likely that if they liked the brand with the first baby then they will continue using it on their next baby. Based on the advertising and marketing tactics used the message will get through to some moms and not appeal as much to others. Commercials, coupon offers and print advertisements appeal to different moms in different ways. When it comes down to it, it's all about the health and comfort of the baby. Absorbency plays such a big role in the effectiveness of a diaper. There's no point in your baby wearing a diaper if it's not going to hold in all the wetness for a decent amount of time. Your infant will be going to the bathroom a lot in their diaper. Then there are those times when they use it more than other times. The point is your little poop machine needs to feel protected, and mommy likes to feel confident in the diaper's strength. Leaks need not be an issue. The diaper that the baby potty trains in is super important as well. The toddler should feel comfortable wearing his potty training diaper, but also taking them off to use the bathroom. As they becoming more independent and start going to the bathroom on their own they need to know that if an accident should occur it's okay. Becoming a big kid isn't always easy so answering 'the call' to duty is something they must get accustomed to. Put your little one in the diaper that you feel is best for the phase they're in and most comfortable as well as supportive to their growth.
