I have shot a good number of spherical panoramas in the Republic of France over the last few years, including the city of Paris. Those unfamiliar to these types of panoramas, allow me to explain. A spherical panorama is a 360-degree pano that allows for a viewer to click and drag the panorama image in any direction.
This magnificent country or republic is located in the western part of Europe and borders the Atlantic Ocean, the Channel and the Mediterranean. To the north Belgium is located, to the south Spain and Andorra, to the east the country of Italy and Switzerland, and to the northeast the nations of Luxembourg and Germany. During the course of my life, and whilst I lived in the Netherlands some years ago, we traveled to various parts of France, including Southern France as well as the city or capital of Paris. All of these places produce wonderful opportunities to those, including me, to shoot spherical panoramas. Over the last 500 years France has been a major influence and power with a lot of cultural and economic influence in the area of Europe, as well as the world. During the 1600's and the 1700's, France ruled across territories of all kinds, including parts of North America and Asia. In fact, during the 1800's and part of the 1900's, France was considered one of the largest empires in the world! This particular republic has been an innovative front-runner in many things, including the creating of a so-called "Ministry of Environment," which occurred back in the early seventies. Even though France has produced an incredible amount of industry, it is only ranked 17th in terms of CO2 emissions! Reason for such a result is the country's investment into nuclear power type solutions. For many years the Republic has been a great destinations to tourist that fly in from around the world, including photographers like myself that seek out and shoot spherical panoramas of the best of the best. France very well functions as a gateway to other European lands and cities via an excellent road, train and air travel network. Make sure to invest into some quality equipment when considering getting into the shooting of a spherical panorama. A backpack might prove to be helpful as you carry around the various parts of gear. Purchasing good software is also part of the ball game, since captured images is not enough to produce spherical panoramas.
