When parents introduce their child to a room full of other children and toys where there is already a lot of action going on, the first thing that child will do is run off and find someone to play with, unless they are a particularly shy child. Pre-school drama programs are designed to take that creative nature and express it in a healthy way.

When parents introduce their child to a room full of other children and toys where there is already a lot of action going on, the first thing that child will do is run off and find someone to play with, unless they are a particularly shy child. Pre-school drama programs are designed to take that creative nature and express it in a healthy way.

Young people learn by watching the adults around them. We show them how to act and what to do by our own actions. The programs will bring out each and every unique personality, as the child pretends to be someone else.

This is a time when the little one might not be able to express him or herself very easily on their own. This then turns out to be a learning experience for them, something that teaches them how to express themselves to others, how to fit in with society at large and learn about the world in which they live.

This does not mean that the children would be taught to mime or the sign language but that they can use their whole body to ask for things in polite and pleasant, even cute, ways.

Children learn social skills by interacting with other children their age along with the adults and older children. It helps them create new ways to think, different trains of thought, new ideas and interests. It also gives the opportunity for children to get out of potentially abusive situations by alerting adults to the problem.

Parents can see the confidence level in their child grow tremendously when they are a part of a pre-school drama program. They will be praised for their accomplishments, will feel satisfaction and their self-esteem will reach a good level. They learn to be socially healthy and how to function within a group of peers.
