For those who are interested in becoming an educator and considering getting teaching certification, before you start you must be warned that it is a long and arduous task ahead of you. Getting properly trained and certified is a long and arduous process sometimes taking years.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to complete the equation that those taught by idiots will become idiots themselves, or at best idiotic. This is not opinion, it is science.

Usually teacher certifications are handled by specialized colleges who deal solely with education training. This is gradually changing as more and more general educational and technical colleges are moving into the education training sector creating better choice for students. In all cases the certificates will be based on standardized testing.

A lot of the training for these certificates will be conducted as actual practice time with the student teaching real classes while being observed by trainers and fellow students. This is as important as any exams or textbooks that you may read with their theories and metaphors.

Gaining your teacher certification opens many doors and could be a great step in your career for the right person. However, it is worth remembering that it is by no means easy. If you put the hard work in and have the ability then there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to follow your dreams.
