There are many floral sites online, but every one of them has to call the local florist to have the arrangement delivered. Your florist may have a website, and if they do you can use it to place your order.

There are many reasons you will need a florist, if she knows your likes and dislikes when you are in need of her services she will know how to set you up.

Another thing about this particular holiday is that it is the second largest floral holiday of the year. Because of this you want to order for your mom and/or wife early. There are only so many hours in the day and if your florist did not plan on the amount of orders that she got, she may not be able to accommodate everyone. You do not want your gift to be the one that does not arrive, so make sure you order early. Flowers for this holiday can be delivered anytime in the week before so you might want to consider that for a timely delivery.

Because this is the second largest floral holiday of the year, the floral industry places a lot of emphasis on getting out special containers that are just for this holiday. Teapots are one of the main collectors containers for Mothers Day. But there are other collectors also. Your mom may be a collector of the Laura Ashley collection. If you know that, you will know what to order for her every year.

If the lady you are purchasing the arrangement for is not a collector, then you have to make a decision. What do you send the lady in your life? A popular arrangement in many floral shops is roses with stargazers. You can have six roses with one multiple bloom stargazer or twelve roses with three multiple bloom stargazers. Both vases are absolutely stunning and the stargazers add a nice aroma to any room they are in.

Do you know where the flowers are likely to be placed in the home? If they will land in the kitchen on the table, you might want to order a short arrangement so people seated at the table can see over them. However if they will be displayed in the front hall, a showy, tall and airy design might be the route to go. Speak with the designer and tell her what you are looking for. She will give you some ideas to choose from, while staying within the budget you desire.

If you are not working with a budget and want a gift for that front hall ask your florist about tropicals. They are not a traditional Mothers Day design, but they are a showstopper. Flowers for a tropical arrangement could be Bird of Paradise, Anthuriums, Ginger and/or Orchids.

So remember, when purchasing for Mothers Day, order early, use your local floral shop, and decide what you want to send. Following those guidelines will give you an enjoyable time ordering and ensure that the recipient is happy with her gift.
